Verifying Document Content and Signatures

Last update on Oct. 8, 2014.

During the signing process, content is verified (by using hashing technology) before each signer previews and signs the document - so they can sign in confidence.

After the document has been signed by all parties, CrunchSign Digitally Signs the document, encrypting the documents audit trail into the pdf. This digital signature also provides content tamper-proofing.

You can check that the signed document is authentic by selecting the 'verify' action on your Home page and uploading the document.

----
If a green 'success' box doesn't appear with the relevant signature details, the document is not authentic.

Or you can open the document with Adobe Reader:

Click the 'Signature Panel' button and expand the sections to reveal the CrunchSign signature audit trail:

You may need to confirm that you trust CrunchSign's certificate (issued by AlphaSSL).
